What is it to be a Black Belt at our dojo?
It takes an average student about 3 and a half years to get black belt in our dojo. Its not easy, and all nineteen people promoted here can attest to that. It requires dedication and at times, sacrifice, but I think all of us would agree that the person you become after this type of training is well worth all of the effort. When it is all said and done, and the obi is tied on, you become a permanent part of our family. It really is a bond hard to describe to someone who has never taken karate. But for all of this, getting your black belt is only your license to really start learning karate. It’s a the end of one journey and the beginning of an even better one. |
